Useless, but interesting nonetheless...

The idea for TotesNotes simply started as a creative outlet. Creating random designs for random sayings, words, or “beliefs” while binge-watching series or watching YouTube. Trying to keep up my Adobe Illustrator skills and learning new little tricks and shortcuts I saw primarily on TikTok.

After a few weeks, I started looking into print-on-demand (as this was a “trend” going around) and after realising that print-on-demand options are very hard to quality control, I decided to look into serious printing options.

Trying to keep production as local as possible. Hoping to reach like-minded creatives and people who enjoy the design that wasn't mass-produced for the widest possible audience.

Totes Notes is a pseudonym for my proper name, Sonette.

“Totes” is something we used to say at my first job working in the real world.

Everything created from the website to the artwork was created by myself and my incredibly talented partner, Jordan.

Together we fill orders, post parcels and keep each other going. I consider him my business partner and therefore, whenever I talk about “we” I’m talking about myself, Jordan and the business as a personification of both of us.

If you’re too afraid to look stupid, nothing good will ever happen! We took a chance and we’re having a blast!
